Homelessness Australia is calling on supporters and friends to support this year’s National Homelessness Week.

In 2017, Homelessness Week will take place on 7th-13th August. The theme of this year’s week is ‘Action and Innovation’ in which we highlight the many effective approaches specialist homelessness services have implemented to prevent and respond to homelessness.

Homelessness Week 2017 also comes on the back of recent Federal Government announcements around the provision of funding to address homelessness and the affordable housing crisis. From 1 July 2018, federal homelessness and housing funding will change from a multilateral to a bilateral agreement, incorporating both the NPAH funding and the NAHA funding into one new combined agreement, the National Housing and Homelessness Agreement (NHHA).

Major Homelessness Week events are being held throughout Australia. Please visit 2017 Campaign, Resources and Events  for more details on how you can participate and promote this year's Homelessness Week activities.
