Flannie Day

Wednesday 7 August 2024 is Flannie Day! – the day when Aussies where a flannie to work, school or in your local community to raise awareness about homelessness and donate funds or food to a local charity of your choice.

Gather kindred spirits and flaunt your flannie for a great cause.

Here’s how it works in a nutshell:

-Get some mates together at work, school or in your community group
-Choose a local charity doing great work in your community to help vulnerable Aussies doing it tough
-Check-in with the charity as to what will benefit them most – Food or Funds
-Then with your mates raise those funds, or gather non-perishable food to donate to your charity
-On Wednesday 7th August 2024 wear your flannie – the national suit of armour – your trusty flannelette shirt – raise awareness and show you care
-Donate your funds or food directly to the charity of your choice
-Give your mates a flannie hug and know that your support matters
