FRANKLY WE CARE – Supporting Bowen’s Homelessness Together
This Homelessness Week, Bowen Community Centre is proud to host FRANKLY WE CARE, a fundraiser supporting local people experiencing homelessness and hardship.
Through our Community Connect service, we provide practical support including swags, tents, sleeping bags, clothing, care bags, shower and laundry access, hot meals, emergency food relief, and referrals to housing, health, and wellbeing services.
Over the past 12 months (2025–26), our homelessness support services have been accessed more than 260 times. With no dedicated government funding for homelessness services, we rely on the generosity of our community to continue providing essential support.
Last year, your support helped us provide swags and tents to 29 people experiencing homelessness, offering safety, comfort, and hope during challenging times.
Join us for FRANKLY WE CARE Day on Wednesday, 5 August. Every donation helps provide practical assistance and dignity to people in our community, while supporting local Bowen businesses wherever possible.
