No Place Like Home: Young People’s Stories Of Life Without It

The Youth Homelessness Advisory Council (YHAC) are excited to announce the launch of their lived experience public speaking program! ‘No Place Like Home: Young People’s Stories Of Life Without It’ celebrates the launch of YHAC’s program and paves the way for educational advocacy to destigmatise youth homelessness. With the help of Shelter WA’s Homelessness Week 2024 Grant, our team hopes to improve and expand the community’s understanding of youth homelessness by sharing our lived experiences. YHAC members will present their lived experiences, which will be followed by a panel discussion on the realities of youth homelessness. This engagement will enhance the connections between the government, the sector and those with lived experience by expanding upon their understanding of youth homelessness.
