South West Homelessness Network Event

Community sector agencies and community groups across Victoria have come together to fold 6,000 origami houses to highlight the scale of Victoria’s homelessness crisis.

The origami houses were presented at State Parliament on 2 August, in preparation for Homelessness Week (7 – 13 August) in a Houses at Parliament campaign to demand more action to grow social housing.

The campaign has folded 6,000 houses, representing our ask that governments invest in an ongoing pipeline of at least 6,000 social houses a year in Victoria. You are invited to show your support through learning about homelessness in the region at the Gateway Plaza (shopfront next to the toilets) in Warrnambool during homelessness week to see the South West Homelessness Network houses and display.
