The unfair divide: Disadvantage faced by young people who are homeless

Mission Australia would like to extend an invitation to join Marion Bennett, Mission Australia’s Executive of Practice, Evidence and Impact and guests in a discussion about our latest report, The unfair divide: Disadvantage faced by young people who are homeless.

This event will take place during Homelessness Week, 5-11 August 2024. Every two years, we delve into our most recent Youth Survey data to glean insights into the perspectives and experiences of young people who have faced homelessness. The report aims to highlight key areas of disparity between young people who have experienced homelessness compared to those with stable housing, Mission Australia’s impact in this space, and what more can be done to end youth homelessness in Australia.

Marion will be joined by Catherine Robinson, Associate Professor in Communities and Social Justice, and lead of the UTAS Homelessness ColLAB. We will also hear from Mission Australia service managers who work with young people experiencing homelessness, and from young people themselves.
