Hope on the Horizon walk

“Hope on the Horizon,” is a community event on Saturday, 10 August, 2024, from 8:00am to 9:00am at Tickle Park, Coolum Beach, Sunshine Coast QLD. Walk yourself and/or your dog along the beach on the day to raise awareness for families and individuals affected by homelessness in the region. The event celebrates the efforts of charities all over Australia coming together for Homelessness Week 2024 and will raise awareness and funds for the Mount of Olives Foundation’s initiatives, including emergency shelter and grocery items for those in need.

Participants can choose from three registration packages: the $50 Entry + T-shirt package, the $30 Entry + Bumper Sticker package, or the $10 Standard Entry. The “Hope on the Horizon Walk” highlights the urgent need for support, with statistics showing that over 122,494 people in Australia experience homelessness, including a significant number of children and Indigenous people. By joining, donating, or volunteering, you can help bring hope and stability to vulnerable families on the Sunshine Coast.
