Dandenong Library Origami House Installation

A gallery of origami houses will be installed in the Dandenong library during Homelessness Week from the 3rd to the 9th of August 2026, during Dandenong Library’s opening hours. (Find them here: https://www.greaterdandenong.vic.gov.au/council-venues/dandenong-library)

The houses in the installation have been folded by community members from across the South East of Melbourne, and include a personal message about what a home means to them. Attendees will also be able to fold a house and share a message of support to add to the installation.

Information about local homelessness services and supports will also be available.

This event has been organised by the South East Homelessness and Housing Alliance and Dandenong Zero. These partnerships include the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey, Cardinia Shire Council and thirteen local housing, homelessness and community organisations who are working together to reduce homelessness in the South East of Melbourne.
